Death Stranding, that weird game with the inky baby and a naked Norman Reedus, is officially coming to PC. The launch time frame, which was confirmed by the Kojima Productions Twitter account, is somewhere in early Summer 2020.

What is Death Stranding?

Death Stranding is an open-world action game by Hideo Kojima. This marks the first game developed by Kojima as an independent man after leaving Konami. In the game, you’ll control Sam, played by Norman Reedus. Exact details are unknown, however. From watching the trailer and some gameplay footage, it seems that your job is to rebuild society. Kojima keeps saying things about connection, which indicates the strands. The came has a very strange premise, with the main protagonist carrying around a ‘bridge baby’, a baby that allows him to see the ‘BPs’, some type of spirit or demon from Hell (Hades).

Still looks weird, but people are excited

Kojima has went on record to say:

People have created “Walls” and become accustomed to living in isolation. “Death Stranding” is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the “Strand” or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or “Strands” with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.

I’m not saying that it won’t be a good game, I’m just saying that it seems weird AF. 🤷‍♂️

Death Stranding releases for Playstation 4 on November 8, 2019 and on PC early Summer 2020.
