Detroit: Become Human, originally a Playstation 4 exclusive, will finally see life-altering choices on PC. The game, developed by Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls), will be released for PC exclusively on the Epic Games store. The price will be an easy-to-swallow $39.99 USD.
What is Detroit: Become Human?
Detroit: Become Human takes place in Detroit, Michigan in the year 2038. Human-like androids are a part of everyday culture, blending in with humans with likeness in movement, speaking patterns, and behaviors. You’ll take on the roles of three separate androids in a world “at the brink of chaos”—but be careful, as every choice you make could have dire consequences. You’ll have the ability to experience human moral dilemmas—who lives and who dies—experiencing many, many different choices and possible endings.
One of the biggest takeaways from the trailer, shown at the bottom of this post, is how gorgeous this game looks. Quantic Dream has always had a knack for really nailing down the realism factor in its games, and Detroit: Become Human is no different. There are also some pretty drool-worthy screenshots for you to view below as well.
Similar to other Quantic Dream titles, Detroit: Become Human plays like an interactive movie. There are QTE (quick time event) actions to perform as well as various interactive dialogue sequences to experience. The pacing of the game plays like a suspenseful movie. Gameplay, for instance, flows effortlessly from intense, sweat-inducing moments to good ole’ fashioned action sequences.
The screenshots for this game only paint a small-but-vivid picture of the breathtaking graphical prowess Quantic Dream has become known for. Although the game was stunning on Playstation 4, the PC release should be even more jawdropping on PC with the expanded hardware capabilities.
